So, September has been and gone in the blink-of-an-eye, and I cannot quite believe that I have almost been married for 6-weeks. How is that even possible?
September was another fab month for our family and brilliant for me personally too.
Thankfully this month, I have found a new level of confidence and my anxieties seem to be at a minimum. This has mean’t getting out plenty with the boys, and in turn, they seem so much happier and chilled out too.
I’ve been feeling great for the first time, in a long time.
The 5 things I loved about September
We returned to Butlins in Minehead for the second time this year and again, had a fantastic time.
We stayed in a West Lakes Parkview Chalet this time and would have quite happily moved in permanently. It was a brilliant and much needed family break, which we was lucky to spend with my brother and his lovely little family.
We are already planning to return next Summer with family and cannot wait.
Hudson’s First Walking Shoes
Earlier in the month, we took Hudson for his first official shoe fitting. £34 and a huge gasp later, he has his first pair of Clarks walking shoes and our little whippet has definitely been putting them to the test.
This cute and special milestone was always going to make our Top 5 for the month.
Eden’s 2nd Birthday
My beautiful niece Eden turned two in September, which is really quite scary. I remember the phone call to announce her birth like it was just yesterday. I loved watching her celebrate her birthday among all her family and was honoured to have Eden as my Flower Girl, at my wedding recently.
She has the most adorable little character and always wears a smile. I absolutely idolise her and am she makes me a very proud aunt.
Autumnal Colour Changes
Autumn is by far my favourite season of the year and the beautiful colour changes of recent have not disappointed.
We’ve been making the most of the warm sunny days, by getting out and enjoying nature at its best. We’ve created an Autumn Bucket List, to ensure we make the most of the season.
A Newly Found Confidence
It is no secret that I take anti-depressant medication to help control my postnatal depression and anxieties. I’ve spoken out about it regularly on the blog.
Thankfully, last month I seem to have found some confidence from somewhere. My anxieties are at an all time low since becoming a mummy, and as a result I’ve been able to venture out of the house a lot easier with the boys. We’ve been to Town alone (for the first time), found a new open gym club to enjoy and been getting out generally for plenty of fresh air.
I feel good and the difference has been noticeable in the boys too. Long may it continue.
In other news, we’ve started Christmas shopping. Let’s face it, it’ll be here before we know it.
What did you get up to in September? Are you making the most of October already?
