Review: OXO Tot Mash Maker

Let’s face it, there aren’t many genuinely useful baby gadgets on the market.  But, here is definitely one that I recommend for any new parent, in preparation for the weaning process.  This nifty little product, the OXO Tot Mash Maker, easily and quickly turns grown-up food into a meal for your little one.  Genius!

Oxo Tot Baby Food Mill Mash Maker

The easy-to-use mash maker turns cooked food like broccoli, peas, carrots and potato into baby-friendly mash in seconds.

Simply add your food to the feed tube, turn the handle, and the stainless steel blade and grinding plate get to work pushing food up into the top where the wide mouth allows you to instantly scoop up and serve to your baby.

Conveniently shaped to allow for quick filling and adding liquid to control consistency, it has a non-skid base that keeps it stable while you’re mashing and also catches any drips.  There’s also a lid for storage and transport.

We’ve tried plenty of different dishes with Hudson and love that we know what is going into his food.  I’ve provided photos of a recent Cottage Pie dish to demonstrate just how well the mill breaks down food.

OXO Tot has given a lot of thought to this product.  It really does work fab and takes so much hassle out of meal times.  It saves plenty of time not having to prepare separate dishes for Hudson and it’s absolutely perfect for parents on the go too.

An added bonus is that the mash maker is super simple to clean afterwards and takes up as much room as a mug does in the cupboard.

If you are stuck for something to buy a new parent, then here’s the answer.  They’ll thank you for it.
