I have been getting crafty this Easter with these fab chalk markers sent to us by Chalkola to review. We also have a 15% off code and giveaway for you too!
Chalkola Chalk Markers ~ Platinum Series
The Platinum Series contains 8 chunky markers per set, so ideal for larger drawings and projects. They are vibrant, bright and bold and can be used on any non porous surface; glass, windows, chalkboards, tiles, metals, blackboards and many more.
The wet erase markers have water based ink which can be easily erased using a wet wipe cloth. They are eco-friendly, non toxic, Xylene free and odour free.
The rectangular tip enables you to use the markers as 3 tips; wide lines, bold lines & thin fine lines.
The chalk markers are activated with a vigorous shake and then by being dabbed repeatedly onto a piece of paper until the tips fill with colour.
Chalkola Chalk Markers ~ 15 Chalk Markers + 6 Metallic Markers
The 15 chalk marker pens have the same properties as the Platinum Series above, but instead have a 6mm bullet tip. Perfect for more detailed drawing and writing.
The metallic markers (including Gold and Silver colours) differ slightly in that they are ready to use straight out of the box.
Using the Chalkola Chalk Markers
Firstly, I decided to put the markers to the test by decorating our front window for Easter. For this I used the Platinum chunky markers and the Premium bullet tip pens.
I found them really nice to use and that the ink flowed very neatly. Mistakes can easily be cleaned off with a paper towel (if still wet) or a wet-wipe (if ink has dried).
Writing ‘Happy Easter’ backwards so that it read correctly from the outside was a little tricky but I think I did okay! I’m actually really happy with the outcome, loads better than I thought it would look.
The ink colours are really bright and vibrant, especially when the sun is shining nicely on the window.

In addition, I decided to trial a couple of ideas that I have for our wedding.
Candy Carts seem to be the in thing at the moment at weddings and we’ve decided that we are going to create our own for the guests. I would like a blackboard sign for the Candy Cart and therefore thought I’d have a little practice using the Metallic pens…
Another idea that I like, is to use glass for some of the decor. For example, table place settings, table plan and to make some signage.
I am considering making our table place settings using small jars with either a single flower stem or tealight candle. Each wedding guest would have their own jar at the table.
The bullet tip chalk markers were perfect for this. In the below photo, I have used the white chalk marker and some of the metallic pens to write on clean baby food jars. Both simple and cost effective!
The Chalkola Chalk Markers are ideal for use in the classroom, for decorative purposes or alternatively, just for fun. They are great for decorating furniture, signage, seasonal holidays and event decor such as weddings and birthdays.
I absolutely love these markers and have a funny feeling that I shall be using them for just about EVERYTHING!
