Thank you for sharing our pregnancy journey. Here is our update for weeks 34 – 36.
36weeks pregnant – 28 days to go
Baby Dot should now be about 47cms long and weigh about 2.7kg. However, we already know that baby is measuring larger following a growth scan at 33weeks. This week, we have a further scan to check on babies measurements.
Baby’s clothes are now all purchased, washed, ironed and ready to be worn. Wahoo 😀
My hospital bag has been packed, having found some nice little bargains and I have also found a lovely new and larger ‘change’ bag which I bought from Matalan for £12! Why are changing bags and general baby/pregnancy things so expensive?
We are still undecided on a name for Baby Dot, I have found this to be the toughest decision to make for both pregnancies. At this rate, we’ll have a baby born with no name.
Last week, Trevor and I attended an Antenatal Class at Reading Hospital which we both found really useful, even as second time parents. I wish I could have had one when I was pregnant with Jack, I think I would have struggled far less in labour. It was a very informative and practical session run by NCT on behalf of the hospital and I’d definitely recommend attending one if you are expecting.
This last week, we have been walking loads and preparing the final things for baby’s arrival. I’ve found myself to get out of breath really quickly but have been surprised by my energy levels.
Baby seems to be very low now as I have been feeling lots of pressure at the bottom of my belly and also the movements have been much more harsh as baby runs out of space.
Sleeping has become more difficult and I need to pee all the time. I have also started to leak colostrum these past couple of days.
Thanks for taking the time to read our latest update.
