Thank you for sharing our pregnancy journey. Here is our update for weeks 32 – 34.
34weeks pregnant – 41 days to go
Baby Dot should now be about 45cms long and weigh about 2.2kg. However, following a growth scan last week, baby is weighing approximately 3-weeks ahead at 6lbs which came as a surprise. We also learned that baby is now head down – wahoo! You can read more about our 33-week scan here.
Last week, at 33-weeks, our scan was followed by our Obstetrics appointment which went brilliantly. It left me feeling much more positive and alleviated my anxiety about labour. We wrote an update about our appointment too, if you’d like to know more, please check out our post 33weeks – Our Obstetrics Appointment.
We will be having a further scan and seeing our consultant again at 37-weeks.
Our Bank Account has taken a serious hit these last couple of weeks, having bought all the essentials for baby’s arrival. This weekend we was ruthless and bought the baby a complete new wardrobe, including baby’s ‘coming home’ outfit. It is adorable.
We still have a few things to buy but we are pretty much there. I still need a larger changing bag and some dark PJs for hospital. We are undecided on whether to buy a double pram/buggy as I can’t see us making use of it. We’ll probably wait to see how we get by when ‘Dot’ is born and then buy one if we need one.
We still need to choose a name and the more I think about it, the more difficult it seems to become. I literally have nothing, no idea whatsoever.
Today I shall be having my routine 34-week Midwife appointment and then this weekend, our Antenatal Appointment with NCT. This last Trimester is flying by!
Thanks for taking the time to read our latest update.
