Choosing the right bedding with Sleepy People

Sleepy People are an online bedding retailer based in the UK and the place to go for a great nights sleep.  Getting a great night’s sleep is important for all of us.  So you shouldn’t settle for sleeping badly when given the chance, especially if you have nocturnal toddlers to contend with already.

There are so many simple ways to improve your sleep.  Naturally, that starts with having the right bed and making sure your bedroom isn’t too warm.  But it’s also important to get things like pillow and duvet choice right.

We were recently contacted by Sleepy People to see whether we were tog ready for the changing season.  It was only then that we realised we had been using at 13.5 tog throughout the Summer months.  In fact, we’ve been using the same duvet for four years.  Eek!

To add to our discomfort, we would also end up with both boys in our bed, every night, without fail.  You feel our pain, right?  This usually meant that our 13.5 tog duvet was kicked off in an effort to keep cool.

Sleepy People kindly invited us to try some new bedding for the purposes of review and we were recommended the Silentnight Cooler Pillow and Duvet Set (10.5 tog), given our struggles.

Silentnight bedding – Cooler Duvet and Pillows – 10.5 tog

This lightweight 10.5 tog provides the perfect warmth for the new season, whilst the breathable fibres help to keep our bedding feeling fresh.  The boys continue to find their way to our bed each night, yet we are all so much more comfortable.

There has been a noticeable improvement in our sleep and we no longer wake feeling hot and bothered.  The duvet feels really soft to the touch and is lovely and snuggly.  The bedding can be machine washed too which I love.

The Silentnight duvet that we were sent is available from Sleepy People and retails from £16.99 (dependent on the size), whilst the pillows are available at £11.99.  Definitely worth the money, given the quality.
