Review: Bibetta Childrens Placemat

Jack now has his own place at the dining table since Hudson begun to require the highchair.  Thankfully, and with perfect timing, Jack was invited to try the new Children’s Placemat by Bibetta for the purposes of review.

Bibetta Childrens Placemat Pocket

The placemat definitely makes meal times easier.  It is a good large size which helps to protect the table from mess and has lots of space for Jack’s plates, bowls and cups.

The mat is made of soft, thick neoprene and has a non-slip backing to keep it in place at the table.  It also has a springy pocket to catch any food that is dropped.  Perfect for messy monkeys like Jack.

The mat would also be ideal for placing finger food directly on the top for baby led weaning.  Also, useful for kids that don’t like to wear a bib.

Not only is it perfect for use at home but its great for use on the go too.  It folds neatly into a clutch-style pack and fits easily into our change bag.  Any food that is caught can be taken easily wiped off or folded securely inside until you get home.

Before, whenever we would eat out, I would always clean down any tables with antibacterial wipes.  The placemat means I no longer need to worry and can just lay it down for Jack to use.  The plan is to purchase another for Hudson now that he can be seated at tables when we dine out.

Food can be washed off under hot running water, (using washing up liquid onto any stains).  The mat can occasionally be machine-washed and is tumble drier safe.  It certainly cleans up well and still looks like new.

The Bibetta Placemat is available on their website and is reasonably priced at £14.99.

What a fab product! Such a good idea to take it out with you so you don’t have to wipe down the table. I hate it when the table or high chair out is a bit mucky and you feel like your child is going to get so many germs. I’ll have to get one!

What a brilliant idea. I wish I’d come across this when weaning BattleKid!
