My Top 5 Posts of 2016

Last year, was a very busy year for our family.  We celebrated Jack’s first birthday, welcomed our gorgeous baby boy Hudson, and began to consider some plans for our wedding.  I thought I’d take a look back at the year’s top read posts to see which ones were the most popular with our readers.

Here are our Top 5 Posts of 2016…

Hudson’s Birth Story

Every woman’s birth story is different, and for me, Hudson’s labour was far more easy than Jack’s was.  I love reading other people’s birth stories and it seem’s that our readers are no different.  This was a very successful post and I love to revisit it from time-to-time, to reminisce.

Postnatal Depression and Me

Having suffered with PND following the birth of Jack, I was fully expecting to be troubled again when Hudson came along.  I was prepared for it this time, or so I thought.

This post sparked a lot of interest and has hopefully brought some support to those suffering with Postnatal Depression too.  This was definitely one of our top posts for the year.

Poem to my Baby Hudson

What with Hudson being our last planned child, it is unlikely that our family will see any more baby firsts which fills me with mixed emotions.

So, it comes as no surprise that poetry about babies are some of the most popular poems that are written and this poem to Hudson was certainly a well read post.

Wedding Planning – My First Thoughts

Planning the wedding is somewhat of a daunting task.  Trevor wants a huge wedding, whilst I would prefer a low key event.

The dream is to get married in 2017, however, putting some starting plans into place is proving difficult.

Baby Brain

My Best Baby Brain Moments

It is a condition familiar to any woman who has been pregnant and since it has been confirmed by scientists that ‘baby brain’ does exist, who can argue?

My post includes my most impressive parenting fails which obviously, I put down to the effects of pregnancy.  😉

Thank you for joining us to read our top posts in 2016.  We hope you’ll continue to visit the blog throughout the New Year to share our journey through the joys and troubles of parenthood, along with a whole lot more…

All the best to you and yours in 2017.
