We were recently sent a new range of bottles by Chicco to test when feeding baby Hudson. We have been using the bottles for the past two weeks and as he seems to be feeding better with them, I have chosen not to go back to those we were using previously.
The NaturalFeeling bottle range has been designed to replicate the instinctive way baby feeds. Thanks to the truly angled anti-colic teat, NaturalFeeling ensures correct and intuitive suction, just like at your breast.
The shape, dimensions and features of the NaturalFeeling teats differ for each single age range. They have been designed to suit a baby’s natural feeding and suckle process which evolves over the months.
Truly angled teat
- Always stays full of milk, reducing air intake
- Encourages correct neck positioning for newborns
- Soft and wide base aids natural latch and easy transition between breast and bottle
- Twin anti-colic valves help prevent air ingestion, gas and reflux
- Specific for newborn latch
Our thoughts on the new Chicco NaturalFeeling bottles
Hudson had no trouble latching on when he was first introduced to the bottle. There was no bobbing around trying to form a latch, he took to it straight away.
Trevor and I both agree that Hudson suckles more smoothly feeding from these bottles, the teat designed for his age range seems to work great. Also, I have noticed that he hardly loses any milk from the sides of his mouth thanks to the improved latch.
I also find that he seems to have less wind once he has finished feeding. When he was first born, he really struggled with colic and we would use Infacol to help him release his wind. We have been slowly reducing his Infacol now that we are using these bottles and he hasn’t been struggling with trapped wind at all.
Obviously, I cannot be sure that this is because of the bottles but they certainly seem to be helping. As above, we have decided to stick to these bottles and hope that as the teats evolve through the stages, he continues to suit them.
The new NaturalFeeling bottles are exclusively stocked in Boots stores and were launched to the UK in June. They are available in white, pink or blue and are available in gift sets too.
