Thank you for sharing our pregnancy journey. Here is our update for weeks 30 – 32.
32weeks pregnant – 53 days to go
Baby Dot is now about 42cms long and weighs about 1.7kg.
I weighed myself this week and have gained 20lbs since week 4. Whether that is good or bad, I do not know (or care), I was just curious to find out.
This week I received a couple of appointments by post from my Midwife. One was for a 32week growth scan and the other for an Obstetrics appointment, both scheduled for next week (during week 33). I don’t actually know what to expect at the Obstetrics appt and can only assume that this is the consultant midwife appt that I had requested previously.
I have started to prepare my hospital bag, although I’m still to get loads. Baby has just about 8weeks to go so I really need to get a shift on. Have also cleaned and sterilised babies bottles, rather prematurely I know but I couldn’t help myself.
My birth plan has been started, I just need to finalise it and print it off ready. You can read about my thoughts on this in my recent blog post Birth Plan of a 2nd time Mummy.
I’ve been feeling really tired these last couple of weeks and bump feels pretty full! I’m not sure I have any space left. Have been feeling dehydrated too, so have been drinking plenty but just can’t seem to quench my thirst.
So far, I have had no swelling unlike when I was carrying Jack but I have started to waddle a bit. Trevor pointed it out this week otherwise I wouldn’t have noticed.
I am looking forward to this Friday when we will be attending the Baby and Toddler Show at Sandown Park. I’m looking to buy baby’s ‘coming home’ outfit and also any items that you cannot find on the high street. It’ll be a great opportunity to stock up on any bargains too.
Thanks for taking the time to read our latest update.
