Thank you for sharing our pregnancy journey. Here is our update for weeks 22 to 24.
24weeks pregnant – 106 days to go
Baby Dot is now about 30cm long and weighs approximately 600g.
My bump is growing rapidly and I can no longer see my toes unless I lean forward 🙂 I was about 30wks at this size last time. I can only hope that this means my body already has some ‘give’ from previous and that the baby isn’t going to be bigger than Jack was at 9lb1oz. I’m definitely trying to eat better this time around and have been avoiding those naughty chocolate bars in the fridge.
My hips have started to ‘click’ again when I turn over in bed (as they did last time) and so it’ll soon be time to invest in a new pregnancy pillow. I just hope I avoid being woken by leg cramps this time around.
Baby’s kicks are definitely more solid now although because I have an anterior placenta it means that I cannot always feel the kicks towards the front. Trevor continues to kiss and speak to bump and Jack has started to show some interest too. Jack has started to say ‘bubba’ which is amazing as until now, his only words have been Dad, Mum, hi-ya or bye.
My employer has finally agreed to my last day at work before I start maternity leave. The 24th March cannot come soon enough, just 5-weeks and counting. Trying to juggle the upkeep of home, family life and work, all whilst being pregnant has been taking its toll. I’ve been feeling tired all the time and definitely need to finish up at work sooner than 39wks this time.
Thanks for taking the time out to share our pregnancy journey. Look out for our next update in a couple of weeks.
