Poem to my Baby Hudson

Why so fast, must you grow?

—— ♥ ——

My baby boy, let’s take it slow,

Why so fast, must you grow?

There is no rush for you to talk,

To roll, to sit, to crawl or walk.

I’ll miss these days, so priceless and few,

This perfect you, all squidgy and new.

Your first smile and embrace, etched in my heart,

Memories so precious, could never depart.

So, you my darling, be sure to know,

Just how much, I love you so.

You and your brother, in my heart shall rule,

For you are my life, my world, my all.

I need these days to last forever,

These times we share cuddled together.

So my baby, let us take it steady,

For I, your mummy, am not quite ready.

For one day, it shall not be cool,

To cuddle goodbye as you leave for school.

But, my darling, be sure to know,

I’ll be proud to see you prosper and grow.

But for now, I’ll continue to hold you near,

and reserve these memories, oh so dear.

Forever and always, my baby you’ll be,

and to my heart, you’ll hold the key.

A beautiful poem that I am sure Hudson will cherish when he gets older (but also cringe to at that certain age boys get to). Enjoy every moment.

This made me want to cry, so beautifully captured. My son has just turned 7 and it has gone way too fast. He is the best hugger and is such a mummy’s boy. I hope he still loves to give me cuddles for many years yet.
The photos are just gorgeous too xx

Lovely pics and lovely poem. Thank you. Mum not being ready sounds familiar. You really need to grow up together, I think.

What a lovely poem, straight from the heart. I have Recently been lucky enough to have my first grandchild, a little girl, Hazel and these words really resonate, thanks Lisa.

It’s scary isn’t it Lisa. We had a newborn in the house tonight and it seems like forever ago both the boys were so tiny. Time definitely flies! 🙁 xx
