A Peek inside our Playroom

We started decorating the boy’s playroom almost a year ago and I’m pleased to say that it is finally finished.  We have kept it pretty basic, but it is future-proof, bold and vibrant.  I love it.

When we learned that we was expecting a second boy, we decided that they would share a bedroom, leaving the smaller bedroom as a dedicated playroom.

Whilst we didn’t want any particular theme in the room, we did want to make sure that the room was bright, interesting and full of colour.  I think we definitely achieved that!

The football and boot lights are fab and add some funky mood lighting to the room when it is dark outside.

We purchased two cubed storage units and some colourful canvas boxes to hold the endless toys that the boys have accumulated.  They fit the length of the room perfectly and help us to keep the room tidy when it’s not in use.

The table and chair set was a bargain buy and we certainly get plenty of use out of them; doing crafts, drawing, reading and puzzles.

This reading corner is definitely one of Jack’s favourites in the house!  It is a great comfy space for him to wind down and enjoy his reading time.

I could happily spend all day in this room with the boys and to be fair, sometimes we do.  I’m really pleased with it.

That looks really good! I find the racetrack rug a particularly good idea as there is nothing to get out and put back if they want to play with cars. Anything dual purpose is great with me!

This is a great little playroom, my sons will soon be sharing a room. My oldest is 8 and youngest 20 months and I have/ am currently doing their room at the moment but I’ve had to go with what my oldest wants for now. So it’s Star Wars. But I still have room to inject some baby things so I’m taking some inspiration from your pics, thanks!
